The Granite State Triathlon Club is proud to host an event for all athletes in the Lakes Region on April 2th at 7:00 pm at Laconia High School.

Monique Ryan is one of the nation's foremost experts on nutrition for endurance athletes!!! Her expertise in this area is unmatched.

There will be books available to purchase and door prizes as well.

Again, Monique Ryan will be on April 24th at the Laconia High School at 7 pm.

The Granite State Triathlon Club (”GSTC”) has announced that Monique Ryan noted sports nutrition expert and author of numerous books related to nutrition for endurance athletes will be giving 2 lectures in Laconia, New Hampshire on April 24, 2009. The lectures will be held at 12:30 pm and 7:30 pm at the Laconia High School auditorium on Union Avenue in Laconia, with the earlier lecture focusing on high school students, while the 7:30 lecture will focus on triathletes and endurance athletes. Admission is free for high school students and members of GSTC, and $5 for all others. The lectures are sponsored by Gatorade Sports Science Institute.

Ms. Ryan was a member of the Performance Enhancement Team for USA Triathlon, USA Cycling Women’s Road Team and the Synchro Swimming USA leading up to the Athens Olympics, and has consulted with many amateur and professional teams including the Times Multisport Team and the Saturn Cycling Team. She is the author of many books including ‘’Sports Nutrition for Endurance Athletes”, “Performance Nutrition for Team Sports” and “Complete Guide to Sports Nutrition”. Monique has contributed articles to many fitness related publications, including Runner’s World, Inside Triathlon, The Journal of Competitive Cycling and Fitness. She has appeared on FOX TV, ABC, CBS and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a nutrition expert. Ms. Ryan also regularly participates in swimming, running, cycling and snowshoeing.

GSTC President. Lisa Davy, stated that the state-wide triathlon club is proud to make such a well known expert in sports nutrition available to not only the Club’s members, but also to local high school athletes, triathletes and other endurance athletes.
