I didn't go into the parking lot because it looked like they were doing construction back there. I turned around at the Mobil instead. Will the bike turnaround for the sprint have to be moved this year?

not sure yet...It's dependent on where they are with the construction at OPA....
Meeting with them next week, to check it out...

not yet. I'm guessing it'll be a week-of decision. They're cleaning up, but they need to repave. Still a month to go.

If it's not done, we'll change the turnaround point, but it shouldn't affect training on the course....

I rode through there last weekend and the parking lot has all changed. You can't do the loop around the parking lot because half of it is gone now. I couldn't tell if there was any kind of loop you can do in the parking lot of the new building. It's all paved though. It was just blocked off with cones at the end of the parking lot where they built the new one.

the plan would be to go straight, and turnaround in the new parking lot. It's good, and actually easier to turn than before, but was awaiting the new pavement.
They've got the base layer down, but there's a big lip between the other pavement and the base pavement. If they repave it, and clean up, we'll be fine.

I'm guessing it'll be completed, as it looks almost done. Have a call into them, for a finish date.....

Parking lot looked paved but right side of the road as you come in still had a lip to it. I think too it'll be an easier turn around since you just go straight and then loop left -- no 90deg turn like before. Let's hope it's done! Don't they know there's going to be a triathlon! Wink

speaking of Saltmarsh Pond.....do either of you guys know a place (lake or pond) that I can take my dog to for a swim? I seem to be having trouble finding a place she'd be welcome at.

She's a 1 yr old Aussie and I've yet to see if she can swim!
